No icons are shown in the Preferences or main Workrave windows,
instead the blank icon image (a page with a red X) is displayed.  I
thought this was a packing error for the Workrave 0.1.0-1 DEB-file, so
I downloaded and installed the tarball and still no icons :(  In a fit
of peak I went to the "images" directory and tried a "make install",
just to be sure everything was installed in the correct place
("--prefix=$HOME") and "install" seemed to work OK.  Workrave
displays no error messages.

Thanks for writing Workrave, it saved me from having to do it :)  An
excellent program.

System:

Argh, as a temporary solution, copy all images (workrave-0.1.0/images/*.png) to
~/.workrave/images

Fixed.
