1.9.0 installer says that compact requires GTK installation. If you do not have GTK installation Workrave will not install in compact mode. Perhaps it would be better to detect whether a suitable GTK environment exists before offering the option, since a lot of people don't know what GTK is.

Until we can properly detect if a suitable GTK environment exists, I disabled this option. Always installing our own gtk also improves predictability/reproducibility of bugs.
