Hi,

I was editing a document in MS Word 2000 when the Workrave dialog asking me whether to skip or postpone rest break comes up. I clicked Postpone button, but the dialog didn't go away, the button Postpone is in mousedown state and I couldn't access Word anymore. I could still switch to other applications and use them normally, no Workrave dialog. But the the dialog still shows in MS Word window and makes it unusable, I had to force a close of the Word window and lose all my unsaved changes.

Thanks

>But the the dialog still shows in MS Word window and makes it unusable,

Do you recall if the rest break timer was active after you postponed? Unusable how? Did the application respond in any way?

The only known scenario I can think of where this could possibly happen is when the application behind the rest break window has stopped responding / crashed (unrelated to Workrave). In this scenario if the rest break window closes, manual or otherwise, and the app behind it is not responding, the app is not able to repaint its area. So you'll see the rest break window even though it is already gone.

If this ever happens to you again please take some screenshots.

Thanks

Sorry, I don't remember clearly if the timer still works after this, I'll pay attention to this next time. The application (MS Word) becomes totally unresponsive, doesn't accept mouse/keyboard inputs. It does seems like the application (MS Word) crashed somehow, but it seems that it crashed right after I clicked the Postpone button, that's why I assumed it is related to Workrave. I'll take some screenshots next time this happens (it seems to be random).

OP reports via e-mail that issue is not reproducible. It's odd that Word would crash right when a break starts though. Coincidence, for now...
