Sometimes I need to disable Workrave, but there is NO icon in my system tray to do this. I tried to re-download Workrave but get the same message as when I try to uninstall: it says to quit workrave first. So what do I do? Naomi

I feel a bit silly for stating the obvious, but I'd recommend quitting workrave before attempting the re-install. If necessary, open the task manager and quit workrave there. Very old versions of workrave used to have the system tray icon go missing in case explorer crashed. A reboot should fix that. Are you sure that the workrave icon isn't being hidden by XP?

There should be a white sheep in the system tray if workrave is running. Please check if windows has hidden the workrave icon (click on '<' button in the system tray)
