Add menu option to reset/restart timers. As if they are running but out of step with your working day, there is nothing you can do, it becomes almost pointless running it. I leave my PC on 27/5, and if WorkRave is not shutdown/stopped, then the next day the timers are not lined up with my working day. See also Bug 464

Hi, My gut feeling says it should not be necessary to reset/restart timers, because they should not be "running out of step with your working day" to begin with. Could you please describe what you mean with "running out of step with your working day", and how to reproduce this behaviour, such that it can be fixed? Thanks!

Ok, I have it setup as follows: Micro-break : disabled Rest break : enabled - breaks : 1 hour - rest : 5 min - postpone : 3 min - suspend timer when inactive: enabled Daily limit : enabled - end : 8 hours - postpone : 20 min - suspend timer when inactive : disabled - micro-brakes activity : active (i know no need as not in use) Other tabs are default settings. I left work yesterday an hour late, the Daily Limit box came and went, and when I finally left I saw the timer on the Daily Limit had -1 hour. So I get in this morning to the timer showing 3 hours, and counting down, (so can I go home in 3 hours!) I now have to increase the Daily Limit to 11 hours to make it show the 8 I want!!

It seems that "suspend timer when inactive : disabled" doesn't really work well for the daily limit if you continue working after the daily limit was reached. This is what happens: - You start working, the daily limit timer starts - 8 hours later Workrave informs you that you reached the daily limit and stops the daily limit timer. - You ignore the daily limit: the timer starts running again - 1 hour later you stop working, the timer keeps on running. - At 4:00, Workrave resets the daily limit, the timer continues running - At 7:00, you start working again, the timer is still running, 3 hours of your daily limit time has passed. I changed workrave to halt the daily limit timer when it resets at 4:00, so it should start at 0:00 when you start working in the morning. I'm closing this bug because I expect this fix will solve your problem and also removes the need for a manual reset menu option. I'd rather not add such a feature unless necessary. Feel free to let us know I you don't agree. I've started a new 'nightly' build that contains the fix. A new build should be available for download in an hour.
