I use POP Peeper (http://www.poppeeper.com) to monitor my e-mail accounts. Problem is that Workrave thinks that POP Peepers notification window is a user activity, so if I receive an e-mail while pausing, the pause timer is reset. Also, if I leave the computer and an e-mail arrives, Workrave thinks I'm still working and nag me about pausing as soons as I get back. I have asked POP Peeper to change the notification but I think this problem may occur with other apps too. Maybe there should be a setting in Workrave for which apps to ignore when detecting user activity??? Thanks in advance.

It seems it was POP Peepers ability to cause the Scroll Lock indicator on the keyboard to flash that caused this. Not very surprising when you think about it. *blush* Even though it would be nice if WorkRave could ignore this, I agree it is far less of a priority compared to "normal" notification.

Mmm. Workrave should filter out these fake keypresses... This is worth testing (especially since we rewrote the activity monitoring). Thanks.

Poppeeper does not cause Workrave 1.8.6+ to become active. It seems that in 1.8.5 only the low-level keyboard hook filters cap/scroll/num-lock. The normal keyboard hook didn't filter these fake keys.
