It seems that vertical alignment of applet is 'top'. If the height of the panel where workrave applet is located is greated than the usual one, the applet stays at the top of the panel, but not at the middle like almost every other applet does. Personally for me it looks not good and i'd prefer to have it at the middle of the panel.
