Hi! I am using Workrave since a while and just noticed that there has been a translation into Swedish. I reinstalled 1.8.4, but cannot get how I will have the Swedish version. Thanks in advance //Kari

What language do you see when you are using Workrave? English? Are you using an English locale? Workrave's language choice is based on OS locale. If you have an english locale, there is a way to force Workrave to use a different language. You'd have to copy a folder, possibly as administrator. There is currently no GUI preference to change. If you are using an english locale you would have to copy the swedish locale\sv\LC_MESSAGES folder to: e.g., C:\Program Files\Workrave\lib\locale\en I think, so you would end up with: C:\Program Files\Workrave\lib\locale\en\LC_MESSAGES Either way please let us know. I have Swedish authentic Windows XP and had Swedish translation appeared in both 1.8.4 and 1.8.4. I agree that Workrave should have a language setting, but there is already a request for that in Issue 490. http://issues.workrave.org/cgi-bin/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=490 From the lack of user response I suggest you close this issue. PS. There is another view of locale changing in the FAQ. "You mention that Workrave is available in several languages, but how do I change to one of those languages ?" Maybe the secrets about the directories below could go into the FAQ as well?

As suggested, I'm closing this bug. Workrave does support Swedish. Many people have asked for a 'manual override' of the locale. Perhaps I will implement that one day. There is another bug somewhere requesting this feature. I don't like the idea of people messing around with .mo files.
