An option which regards rests as activity with respect to daily limits would be nice. In german labour law there is a regulation for workers which predominantly work on visual display units (Bildschirmarbeitsplatzverordnung). There have to be breaks from work on the visual display unit of "resonable" length. These breaks are considered as work time and therefore are payed labour. Thus if I set a daily limit of say 8 hours, my rests should be considered as part of my daily limit. Thanks for this great product, Gregor

Workrave already supports this. In the daily limit preferences, disable 'suspend time when inactive'. Workrave will then start the timer when the user becomes active for the first time, but the timer will not stop when the user becomes inactive. The 'regard microbreak as activity' is a simular feature. Assuming you stop working on your 'visual display unit' during restbreaks, but not during microbreaks, this option can be used to limit the working time on a computer.

Thanks for your help. I didn't understand the wording of this option. I Think it's unfortunate that you have to set 'regard microbreak as activity' whereas you have to unset 'suspend time when inactive' to achive similar effects. Perhaps a wording like 'suspend time when inactive (including rests)' would help?
