Hi I am on a WIndows XP MUI system at work. That means it's an english system with a french interface layer added. While my settings incontrol panel are in french, i still have workrave in english. Either provide a way to override language settings or correct it as it works on MUI verisons (the key i found in the registry to have french is: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\International\Locale="0000040c" or HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\International\sLanguage="FRA") I would change to severity normal, since some friends doesn't read english and then cannot use this superb tool. Tested with 1.8.3 on WinXP

I agree that it should be a user setting (even though I see the problems finding the setting, if the current locale is not understood). The general settings under the User interface tab is a perfect place. My rational is that I have a Swedish version, but when reporting user interface suggestions it would be better if I could (in a simple way) convert the locale into English and write the exact words in the Issue.

> Request: directly change language in the preferences menu I come from Lithuania and only few words are translated into my language, but the rest of Workrave is in Italian (a base for translation, I guess), that I don't understand at all. If i change my regional setings, I loose system support for my currency, date format, keyboard layout etc. English as default would be great too.

Language can now be selected in the preferences.
