When mouse acceleration is enabled in windows, the distance travelled by the mouse varies depending on speed of movement. If you move the mouse slowly, it is accurate, if you move quickly you travel a much greater distance than in reality. Perhaps windows has some kind of call to the low level mouse input data to monitor better....
