The rest timer on the small update window (with the timers) resets when

duration. I have also

I believe this is onlÿ happening on the GUI, and that the internal rest timer
still continues after a rest break, because rest breaks occurr when the GUI
rest-break timer reports that a rest-break is not due.

A lot of bugs have been fixed in the handling of activity insensitive breaks ("suspend timer when inactive" turned off) since 2004 (though I doubt this feature is completely bug-free). Closing bug. Please reopen if you still experience this problem.
