Description

When using KDE 3.1 under Mandrake 9.1 the applet is cut off from the right (only
the hand and the beginning of the bar is visisble).
Furthermore the status window can not be minimized nor closed.
Disabling the status window in the preferences does not work either.
When using Gnome under Mandrake 9.1 no problems arise.
When using KDE and turning the applet off, everything works as expected and the
status window can be minimised and closed.

I'm opening a new bug for the minimize/close problem on KDE.

Fixing the applet is probabbly not trivial. I expect that kicker only allows
small Windows system tray like icons, whereas gnome gived the applet more space.
