Description

The default time settings (work/micro break/pause) are a kind-of RSI recovery scheme where most people are likely to use it for RSI prevention. Workpace asks some questions to determine a profile. I spoke with Kees-Jan Dijkzeul (my collegue) about this. Please consider copying this behavior.

I don't feel very comfortable with implementing an exact copy of the Workpace wizard. I am not sure how Workpace functions, but for Workrave, I imagine using some question rating system that you find in some cheap magazins, you know, like "Do you and your partner fit together?". Each answers adds a up to your total rating, and your total rating determines the break settings. Ideas, anyone? Question remains: what questions to ask, and what settings to use?

What did I see: time for microbreak; stopped typing/moving. after 10 seconds (my microbreak time), I got a new "time for a microbreak?" window, which counted for 30 seconds, followed by a horn (as if I ignored the break). I expectected: to see the window go away after 10 secs. Possible cause: microbreak time = 10 seconds

Adriaan, could you please file the above comment in a new bug? Each issue should have its own bugzilla ID, otherwise they may get overlooked...

Oh, well. I recommend keeping this as simple as possible. Possible questions:
Are you currently suffering from RSI, or merely interested in prevention?
- prevention -> Raymonds timer settings
- currently suffering -> my timer settings
How strict do you want breaks to be enforced?
- Scale (loosely) 1...5 (strict)
1 2 3 4 5
