Description
Kees-Jan Dijkzeul  Aug 27 2003 05:09:26 UTC
when using dual head, I get two prelude and two break windows simultaneously
(according to task manager), and yet I can see only one. Presumably, they both
overlap on my main monitor.

Furthermore, I'm experiencing random crashes and hangs (see bug 286 and bug 292)
only when using dual head.

I was never much in favour of showing a prelude and a break on each and every
head. I think it would be very distracting to see several miss Workraves
performing the same exercise. Especially since it apparently difficult to keep
them in sync (bug 286).

Hence, I would propose to revert back to 1.2.3 behaviour. It worked more or less
acceptably without too much strange behaviour or crashes.

Oops. Keeping ms wr in sync should be bug 285. Sorry

Today, I did a brief evaluation of 1.4.1-pre1

- Break windows and preludes are now on both heads, though sometimes displayed
off screen
- No crashes or hangs (yet)

This is good progress, though I look forward to being able to see the break
windows again :-)

Today I evaluated pre4. I did not do too much work, so this is not a very
thorough test, but still...

- prelude and break windows appear where they are supposed to, i.e. on both
heads. (congrats!)
- Having an exercise window on one head and a restbreak window on the other
looks a bit odd, but it seems to work, and I have no strong preference.
- The preludes move independently, i.e. it is possible to have a prelude near
the bottom of the screen on one head, and on the top on the other. This looks a
bit chaotic. I'd prefer to have them in the same position on all heads.
- No crashes
- Exercise player didn't freeze

I do not want to cheer too soon, but it seems we're getting close on this one...

Fixed (Moving preludes simultaneously is an additional feature should get its
own bug number, if required).
