Description
Kees-Jan Dijkzeul  Mar 31 2003 00:53:48 UTC
Test case 1:
Right click on the main menu

Expected result:
Menu appears, allowing you to select something

Actual result:
Sometimes, the menu appears only very briefly, and "preferences" is selected
immediately.

Test case 2:
Right click on the main window. Then click on some other, non-wr window

Expected result:
The menu disappears when clicking on a non-wr window

Actual result:
It doesn't. In fact, it is next to impossible to make the menu disappear, other
than by selecting a menu item

Variation:
Right click on the main window. Then right click on the wr icon in the system tray

Same expectation, same result

Test case 1 is new for me.
The others are probably duplicates of bug 141 and bug 142.

I cannot reproduce #1.

I have seen #1 a number of times. Doesn't happen always.

#2 is probably a gtkmm problem. (read a Windows problem: Windows lacks XGrabPointer)

bugs 141 and 142 mention the systray menu (as do you, in your comments on them).
This is all happening with the main-window-menu. No complaints about the systray :-)

The Gaim guys are reporting symptoms similar to test case 1, but only when Wimp
is in use. So most likely this is a Wimp problem.

Please upgrade to GTK-Wimp 0.5.0 and try to reproduce the problem. (gtk-wimp.sf.net)

I am hopeful, though not certain, that problem #1 is fixed.

Test case #1 is now (most likely) solved, haven't heard any confirmation.
Test case #2 is out of our hands, as it is a GTK+ bug, not a Workrave bug.
