Description

Yesterday I used the computer until the daily limit started bugging me. Then I
just continued for one hour while skipping the daily limit window. After that
hour I shutted down the computer.
I just logged in today and it's already showing the daily limit window. Also,
it didn't measure any activity for today. Is this a bug or workrave's
revenge? ;-)
Haven't tried 1.2.2 on this machine however, I'll upgrade right now.

Ah... It's workraves mission in life to stop you from using the computer.

Most likely, you changed the daily limit settings. There is an entry "Resets at"
or "Herstart om" (depending on the language settings of your version), that
defines when a new day is supposed to start.

Rationale is that if you've almost reached your daily limit say, five minutes
before twelve in the night, then you don't want a new day to start (giving you a
fresh daily limit) at 0:00. Hence, in its default configuration, workrave
assumes a new day starts at 4:00. This value works for most people, because they
are in bed at that time (being in bed is generally considered a transition from
one day to the next :-)

Anyway, if you change this value to something in the middle of the day (say
12:00, then you can work on one day in the afternoon until you reach your daily
limit. But the morning of the day after, you'll still be confronted with a daily
limit window, just until noon. Then, you'll be allowed to work again, because
the daily limit timer resets.

Please report if this indeed is your problem. If it is, this should be in the
FAQ. If it isn't, please provide more detail, because noone else is seeing the
behaviour you describe.

There is one other possibility. Workrave only restores the elapsed times of all
breaks when it is started. Whether or not you have postpones/skipped a break is
forgotten when you stop and restart workrave.

So, if you get a daily limit, skip it, shutdown you computer restart your
computer (and workrave) you will get a new daily limit reached window....

Something similar holds for distribution (bug 204).

To answer Kees-Jan's question:
I use the default settings so this isn't the case.

I think this is more likely the case:
>So, if you get a daily limit, skip it, shutdown you computer restart your
>computer (and workrave) you will get a new daily limit reached window....

I upgraded to 1.2.2 now. So if it happens again during the weekend, I'll add a
comment to this bug.

Oh, this might be a duplicate of bug 204, I use a workrave collective with 2
pc's too...
