I'd like to have more options configuring notification behavior, mainly because I quite like the behavior of "Eyes Relax" <http://themech.net/eyesrelax/>. That software allows choosing among a "Notification Dialog" and a "Balloon Tip". In case of the latter, there simply is a balloon popping up in the quick items, no message box, no text to read, nothing annoying.
