The gnome-shell extension is outdated for gnome-shell version 3.10. See also https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=725883 Please remove the gnome-shell extension from you build for Ubuntu distribution and provide it via https://extensions.gnome.org/ In this way workrave doesn't suffer from API changes in gnome-shell. Perhaps when gnome-shell API is more stable, ship the extension with the Ubuntu package again.
