I am using Workrave 1.10 PPA on Ubuntu 12.04. Every time I log in to any account, Workrave starts. I do not have Workrave in my Startup Applications list. How can I change the settings per-user so that Workrave does not start for every user account?

To work around this, use dbus of dconf as described in #1138, but set the default mode to 'suspended' (1 for dconf) for the user that wants to disable Workrave. I'm leaving this open as a request to add this as a GUI option (that is, could be closed if out of scope/support).

Fixed. In preferences, UI -> General you can disable "Start Workrave on logon". Default = on. (git commit 10799d98469c07743564058106244688e1db1531)

On my Ubuntu 14.10 the setting "Start Workrave on logon" had no effect, It always started no matter if the hook is set or not.
But I could set this in dconf editro under
org.workrave.gui autostart
