If I'm working on something and skip or postpone a rest break, chances are good that I'm not interested in a micro-break immediately afterwards. This is especially important under my current preferred setup where micro-breaks can't be skipped.

I would agree that in your configuration, it is terribly frustrating to have a microbreak window appear after just postponing a restbreak. On the other hand: you specified that microbreaks should not be postponed/skipped, and making an exception is imho, not a solution. I would propose to grey out the skip/postpone buttons on a restbreak if a micropause is needed and cannot be skipped/postponed. After at least the micropause is taken, the skip/postpone buttons can be enabled again.
