I'm fairly confident that workrave is killing my mouse input - the mouse becomes unresponsive and a system restart is required. I have had this problem for a few years on Fedora with different mice, and I've been baffled as to what caused it. Sometimes it coincides with workrave breaks. When it happens seems to be random - sometimes the problem doesn't occur at all, other times, like today, the mouse dies many times within the space of a few hours. I assume this is a workrave + X related bug. Any way I can be more sure how / if workrave is the problem? Not using workrave for a week to see if the problem still arises is not really an option for me due to RSI. Thanks, Sam.

Also, sometimes its the keyboard rather than the mouse that loses input, and whichever it is, it cannot be brought back again regardless of adding new keyboard / mouse, or unplugging / replugging the keyboard / mouse, or logging out and back in again. A restart is the only fix. I never use wireless keyboard / mouse. Only high quality wired devices (mouse about $90, keyboard about $60).
