When the active window is Adobe reader, the micro-break does not show up when timer is up. I havn't tried if "rest break" has the same issue - not tried yet. The adobe reader version I am using is 9.4.6 (chinese simplified).

Just figured out that this can be resolved by setting "reading mode". sorry for bothering.
