I'd like the ability to turn off the "natural rest break". I work on a proprietary computer I can't install Workrave on, but have my personal computer right next to it to keep track of breaks for me. The problem is, the natural rest break keeps triggering, thinking I'm not interacting with the computer. I'd like to be able to disable the natural rest break so it works like the old version. Thanks!

The natural restbreak can be turned off in the preferences: Timers -> Restbreak --> Start nartual restbreak when screen is locked.

How does your personal computer take trak of you breaks if you are working on the proprietary computer? Did you turn on the reading mode?

I'll have to look for that in the preferences. I just upgraded to Ubuntu 11.10 and it seems they no longer support it in the repositories and instead only have RSIbreak. I like Workrave much better. Any plans to get it reinstated or create a .deb?

My personal computer doesn't keep track of my breaks so much as it serves as a timer for me. In the old version, I'd just setup my break preferences and let it run on a second monitor. When it was time to rest I did. I had a second mouse hooked up to that computer I could wiggle to have it restart the timer whenever a break was over. With the natural break, it thinks I'm never working and I'm constantly postponing the natural break every 5 min.

Thanks for improving a great piece of software!

Hi,

I sure hope Workrave will return in Oneiric... For now I created a PPA with pre-releases of the upcoming 1.10 release:

Outstanding, when I'm not swamped at work I'll give that a shot. Thanks!

Installed from the PPA earlier today and it seems to be working just fine. Was able to disable the natural rest break and put it in reading mode to accomplish what I'm trying to do. Well done! Looking forward to getting it back in the official repositories. Thanks!
